I don’t usually share my favorite places to eat in Pattaya.  I’m always afraid people are going to swamp the place and make the crowds unbearable and prices go up, forcing me to find a new favorite place.  But the Pattaya Beer Garden is already so popular and easy to spot that there are no worries there.  Many people have already discovered what a great place this is.

Located just at the start of Walking Street, this is one of my favorite places to go for good food and a great atmosphere.  It is located at the end of the old pier, perched out on Pattaya Bay.  It is a large restaurant with a good sized bar in the middle.  Plenty of seating and a nice cool breeze off the bay.  It is open air, so there are no walls on three sides of the restaurant, however when inclement weather comes, they do have retractable doors they bring down to keep out the rain.

They have a nice range of Western and Thai dishes, something for everyone.  I can tell you that I eat here most everyday for a nice afternoon snack and a cold beer.  When nighttime comes around the place gets quite busy.  It has definitely become a popular place for good eats at a reasonable price.

One unique marketing ploy that the Pattaya Beer Garden uses is that they try and bring in free lancers.  They are offered a free Som Tam bar (spicy papaya salad) where they can make their own meal.  The wait staff will sit your drink on coasters that have two sides.  One say’s “I’m Looking” and the other tells them your not.  They are color coded red and green.  This gives the freelancers the queue whether you want to be approached or left alone.

the Pattaya Beer Garden is a great place to relax and have some great food while in Pattaya.  I highly recomend you give it a try…but save me a seat.

Where Is The Pattaya Beer Garden

Just before you reach beach road there will be a small beer bar complex.  You walk down the pathway that borders the water and you’ll find yourself in the Beer Garden.  You can easily see the bar and restaurant from the road as you approach, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find if you miss the path on your first attempt.
