Located near the heart of things in Pattaya, the Pattaya Bay Resort is conveniently positioned near malls, restaurants, the beach, and entertainment areas.  One of Pattaya’s newest hotels, it is modern and well outfitted for your holiday needs.  Located on Soi 15 between Second Road and Soi Buakhaow, it has easy access to all that Pattaya has to offer.  “The Avenue” shopping mall is right across the street from the hotel, providing dining, grocery store, movie theater, bowling, ATM machines, pharmacy, and plenty of shopping.  An easy walk from the hotel through the mall gets you right to Second road, across from Soi 13.   A variety of beach and sports activities, as well as dining and nightlife are all within walking distance of the Hotel.

Room Accommodations

The Pattaya Bay Resort has several room types available for your vacation, each well outfitted and comfortable.  Their selection includes Standard, Deluxe, Mini-Suites, One Bedroom Apartments, and the Presidential Suites.  The rooms are decorated in contemporary Thai style with tile floors and teak furniture.  Room sizes are quite spacious in the Deluxe and above rooms.  Rooms come with either a Queen or King size bed.  The western style bathrooms can have either a walk in shower or the tub and shower combination.  Non-smoking rooms are available on specially designated non-smoking floors.

The wifi has a good connection and is quite reliable.  There are also two computers in the lobby where you can access the internet free of charge for those who wish to leave their computers at home.

The beds are firm but comfortable and provide a good nights sleep.  There is also a fitness center on the 7th floor.  It is small, but providers the guest with all they need to maintain a workout regime while at the hotel.

The pool is located on the roof and overlooks Pattaya Bay.  The pool is fair size and shallow (about 4ft).  Around the pool are a fair number of lounge chairs to lay around and soak up some of the hot Thai sun.  It is a great area for relaxing and enjoying the day.

Also on the pool level is the hotel restaurant, Cherry “On Top of the Bay”.  It is run by the same group that owns the well known Cherry Restaurant on Third Road.  Serving both Thai and Western cuisine it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as providing room service to the hotel guests.  You can dine in the enclosed Air conditioning or enjoy your meal in the open air by the pool.

Service

The Pattaya Bay Resort is clean and well serviced all day long.  The grounds are well manicured.  The hotel is friendly and very attentive to the guests needs.  Daily room cleaning is standard.  The hotel offers laundry service for a small fee.  The guest fills out an item list, places their laundry in a bag provided for the hotel.  You may had the bag directly to your house keeper, or leave it for them when they come to clean your room.  In most cases you will have your clean and pressed laundry back the next day.

There is typically one or two door men on staff day and night that provide security as well as providing  tuk-tuk service to Soi Buakhaow or second road.  Though with the opening of the Avenue mall, the ride to Second Road is rarely needed.

This Pattaya hotel also provides rides to and from the airport via car service for a reasonable price.  They are private, modern cars, and are worth the money.  They will be waiting for you at the airport when you arrive, and depart the hotel on your schedule.

Summary

The PBR is a great resort with reasonable prices.  The service and ammenities are top rate and the location really can’t be beat.  We recomend giving the Pattaya Bay Resort a try on your next visit to Pattaya.
