If you need anything related to computers, cell phones, cameras, software, or electronics then the place to go in Pattaya is the Tukcom Mall.  It is easy to get to, located on South Pattaya Road across from Soi Buakhao.

Tukcom Pattaya has several floor dedicated each each type of product, with some floors being a bit of a mix and match.  They have just about everything you could need there.

They offer a ton of software for sale, however just bear in mind that most of it is pirated – which I’m sure you could figure out by the packaging and the prices they charge.  (Or maybe you even noticed the IE logo on the side of the building…maybe coloring it red makes it OK, or maybe Microsoft never visits Pattaya.)  It is dirt cheap.  If you choose to buy this software, make sure you run it through a virus checking software before you do your install.  Sometimes those cheap prices come with a little something extra.

Tukcom is also a good place to buy a mobile phone to use or just to buy a SIM card to use in your existing phone in Thailand.  They will do everything for you, including set it up and install any additional minutes that you buy from them.

You can check prices here for cameras, cell phones and the like.  A lot of people think they will get a better deal than if they buy at home.  For many reasons this is not actually the case.  Plus on high end gear like digital cameras the price would need to be super cheap as the warranty usually doesn’t transfer when you get back home.  Shop around, however I wouldn’t come to Thailand expecting to get great deals on this type of stuff.  But if something breaks or you need a replacement Tukcom is the place to go.
